A breakthrough for privacy-preserving AI

A research team led by Assistant Professor Brandon Reagen has developed Orion, enabling AI to operate on encrypted data without decryption. This breakthrough runs 2.38 times faster than previous approaches and scales to complex models like YOLO-v1. "I'm even more excited about the future this may enable," says Reagen. "Imagine massive encrypted medical databases globally training AI models for disease/cancer detection."
